London based design studio State of Craft has unveiled its vision for the future of explorer yachting with Mako - a sublime 393.7-ft cruising vessel inspired by the elegance of the Mako Shark and fluidity of the ocean waves.
Designed to be offer both the comforts of home along with plentiful entertainment spaces all backed up by a zero carbon footprint.
Powered by a propulsion system that combines hydrogen, fuel cells, electric engines, and a battery storage system and solar panels enabling the Mako to achieves speeds of between 46 mph and 58 mph similar to that of the Mako Shark known as the world’s fastest shark.
If the sleek exterior lines were not enough the generous interiors promote double height spaces, large windows, curved lines and sloping walls. A key feature is a wide beach club platform for sports and activities with an aft garage door nearby for tender storage and manoeuvres. The wraparound aft deck also features a large seating area conceived as a soft “island” sunken into the teak aft deck this multi-purpose area offers 270-degree views and is sheltered by sliding, perforated screens and could be used as a sky observatory, panoramic lounge, fitness studio or yoga space.
The exterior decks also include a platform for a remarkably wide beach club and a space for sports and activities and a stand out helipad platform on the foredeck.
